We took a break from the daily grind of the office on Tuesday, so we could focus on bigger and better things, like gSocial! It was a full day of networking with other Google Apps resellers and Google Apps developers, and learning about the budding ecosystem surrounding Google Apps. Both established and emerging ISVs presented their solutions to complement Google Apps. All these new apps have us excited about potential partnerships with these great companies, allowing us to bring their products to our customers. gSocial was so eye-opening because it reminded us that there are so many more ideas out there, and so many developers making useful apps.

We are only scratching the surface. Google Apps: the standard gMail, Google Drive, Calender, etc, are already tools of productivity. They are ingrained into my daily life. They keep me focused, productive, and moving forward. But in combination with some of the add-on apps in the Google Apps Marketplace, Google Apps becomes a fully customizable suite that can support any employee in any business, in all that they do, both on and offline. There are so many apps out there! The only issue is actually matching the right apps with the right companies, complementing the way their employees are already utilizing Google. For example, a restaurant that uses Google apps for email and drive is doing just great, but there is an app that takes away the need for those beepers, because it texts patrons when their table is ready. How cool is that?! But we would never have known about this app had it not been for gSocial. Great things happen when people come together and communicate and collaborate – which, not ironically, is the foundation of Google Apps for Business.
