SmartR is designed to work fluidly for
running reports on the Microsoft Exchange 5.5 and Active Directory servers.
It allows for information to be easily and quickly built into directory
reports. Microsoft’s XML platform allows for an open architecture,
by which SmartR can manipulate for future reporting.
SmartR’s reporting wizard takes
you through the creation process. Decided which directory objects and fields
you want to appear in the report. There are several preexisting reports,
or your can customize your own. SmartR gathers the requested
information, runs the report, and writes to an XML file. Then using XSL,
SmartR converts the results to a more specific format (HTML or CSV).
